1. Acceptance

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Localis Tourism Technology Joint Stock Company (“Localis”, “we”) governing your access to and use of the Localis app, the localis.vn website and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy (localis.vn/privacy). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What Localis is — and is not

• Localis is a non-profit cultural knowledge platform that freely shares places and cultural know-how about Vietnam, curated by the Localis team.
• The Service provides reference information and tools: exploring places and events, understanding food and souvenirs, communication and interpretation support, trip suggestions, and safety information with official support points.
• Localis is NOT a travel agency or tour operator. We do not organize, sell, or distribute tours, tickets, accommodation, or any paid travel services, and we are not a party to any transaction between you and any venue, shop, or service provider mentioned in the Service.
• The Service is currently free with no in-app purchases. If this changes, we will update these Terms and comply with applicable regulations before doing so.

3. Accounts and eligibility

• You must be at least 16 years old to create your own account. Users aged 16–17 should use the Service with parental or guardian consent and supervision.
• You agree to provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• You may delete your account at any time as described in the Account Deletion guide at localis.vn/support.

6. Intellectual property

• The Service — including software, design, the Localis marks and Localis-edited content — belongs to Localis Tourism Technology Joint Stock Company or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law.
• We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service as intended. You may not copy the system, scrape data, reverse engineer, or use the Service commercially without our written consent.
• If you believe content on the Service infringes your intellectual property rights, notify hello@localis.vn with evidence of your rights; we will review and act as required.

7. Prohibited conduct

When using the Service, you must not:

• Violate Vietnamese law or others’ lawful rights; post content prohibited under cybersecurity and online-information regulations.
• Impersonate others, provide false information, harass, insult, or discriminate.
• Use the Service to send advertising, commercial solicitation or spam.
• Interfere with our systems, spread malware, harvest other users’ data, or circumvent security measures.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

• The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the Service is error-free or uninterrupted, or that all information (including AI content) is accurate or complete.
• You are responsible for your own travel, dining, shopping and transport decisions based on information from the Service. Localis is not responsible for goods or services provided by third parties.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Localis’s total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to actual direct damages and excludes indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the law, taking into account the severity of the violation; serious cases may result in immediate termination. You may appeal via hello@localis.vn. We may also modify or discontinue all or part of the Service with reasonable notice.

10. Changes to the Terms

We may amend these Terms. For material changes, we will notify you in the app before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. The current version is always available at localis.vn/terms.

11. Governing law and disputes

The laws of Vietnam govern these Terms. Disputes will first be resolved through good-faith negotiation; failing that, they will be settled by the competent courts of Vietnam.

12. Language

These Terms are made in Vietnamese and English. In case of any discrepancy, the Vietnamese version prevails.
