The Ben Tre Traditional Cultural Festival (associated with the birth anniversary of the Cultural Celebrity Nguyen Dinh Chieu) is one of the largest indigenous cultural events in the Mekong Delta. The festival is held annually in July to commemorate the birthday of Mr. Nguyen Dinh Chieu (affectionately known as Cu Do Chieu) – a patriotic poet, an exemplary teacher, and a respected physician of the people of Southern Vietnam. The event is not only a ritual to pay tribute to a historical celebrity but also a space to preserve Intangible Cultural Heritages, maintain the local character of valuing loyalty and gratitude, and spread Vietnamese cultural values to international tourists.

- Traditional Rituals: Taking place in a solemn atmosphere with incense offering ceremonies, the reading of funeral orations (van te), and visiting the mausoleum of Cu Do Chieu, helping tourists understand the moral principle of "when drinking water, remember its source."
